As we close out 2025, we reflect on a year defined by resilience, compassion, and community. At All About You Healthcare Advocates (AAYHA), our mission remains unwavering: to improve health literacy and access to healthcare through our Advocacy services.
Since 2021, we’ve walked alongside individuals and families across New Jersey—meeting them where they are, listening deeply, and advocating fiercely so they can navigate the healthcare system with confidence and dignity. Our vision is bold and clear: healthcare equity must be a right, not a privilege.
2025 by the Numbers: What We Accomplished Together
Your support helped us deliver life‑changing advocacy and education to communities facing some of the highest barriers to care.
- 400+ families empowered through health advocacy, screenings, navigation support, and education
- 240+ individuals referred to clinics, insurance agencies, and essential community services
- 130+ medical devices distributed to support chronic disease management
- 95 referrals connecting clients to ongoing medical and social support
- 40% of patient interactions lasted 30+ minutes, reflecting deeper engagement
- 200+ clients identified with high blood pressure and 50+ with high blood sugar
- 80%+ of services supported uninsured, low‑income families, seniors, immigrants, and individuals with chronic conditions
- Expanded presence across six counties in New Jersey!
- Achieved a 34% follow‑up rate, our highest since 2022
These numbers tell a powerful story: our communities face high rates of chronic disease, low health literacy, and overwhelming barriers to care. AAYHA continues to fill the gap with culturally responsive, accessible, and compassionate support.
❤️ When Advocacy Becomes Life‑Saving Care
A 60‑Year‑Old Man’s Story: From Crisis to Stability
At a community health event in New Brunswick, our team screened a 60‑year‑old man experiencing homelessness. His blood sugar was dangerously high—over 500—paired with low blood pressure and blurred vision. He was immediately sent to the emergency department, where he was found to be severely dehydrated and in renal failure. 
Over the next four months, AAYHA helped him:
- obtain charity care insurance
- access insulin and blood pressure medications
- receive cataract surgery
- stay connected to follow‑up care
Without intervention, his condition would have continued to deteriorate. Instead, he regained stability, dignity, and hope.
Preventing Crisis Through Advocacy
A 27‑year‑old man facing mental health challenges reached out when he was about to lose access to his medications due to lack of insurance.
Our team:
- connected him with a nurse practitioner
- secured emergency Medicaid through community partners
The result: no lapse in care, no interruption in treatment, and continued stability.
Behind every statistic is a person navigating a healthcare system that often feels impossible.
🚧 Challenges We’re Working to Overcome
- Limited follow‑up capacity due to volunteer‑only staffing
- Rising demand exceeding available resources
- Inability to consistently accept new clients
- Need for EMR/CRM systems
- Limited funding for outreach and program development
🚀 Our Goals for 2026–2027
- Increase services by 50–60%
- Transition from 100% volunteer‑based services to paid health advocates
- Hire certified health advocates, a program manager, a health navigator, and a volunteer coordinator
- Expand services to additional underserved counties
- Strengthen and grow our Client Advocacy Program (CAP)
