All About You Healthcare Advocates

Advocate, empathetic and committed to excellence are just a few of the words most often used to describe David Taylor. He has over two decades of focused experience as an addictions counselor, working with and advocating for his patients to live their best lives. As a board member with All About You Healthcare Advocates, he is driven to continue his excellence in practice by ensuring all patients have an advocate and resource leading to higher quality of care and clinical outcomes. His inspiration is his personal story of addiction, recovery, and struggle with health issues, where he learned the value of having a strong advocate and support system, along with the shortcomings of today’s healthcare environment. These experiences committed him to change and be a force for the health and wellness of patients.

David is a lifelong resident of New Jersey. He began his professional career in the mental health field during his recovery from addiction, committed to giving back and helping others struggling. As a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC), his practice centers around Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), where he helps patients become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking and view or respond to them more effectively. He meets patients where they are at, makes them feel comfortable, and gets them to talk about their issues. Through their relationships, he also helps them identify and attend to medical issues resulting from their neglect during addiction.

Because of his commitment to patients’ health and well-being, he is also a powerful advocate with insurance companies, addressing financial issues and the court system, addressing outcomes of legal issues. Most of all, David finds inspiration when he can restore clarity, health, and well-being, along with family stability with patients.

David has established himself as an in-demand public speaker and respected educational lecturer. His unique experiences and valued insights inspire others to excellence in recovery, health, and well-being. Through his years of service, David has been recognized by the State of New Jersey Secretary of State through a proclamation for his excellence in counseling services and community service. He is also the recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award for his community service and empowerment.

In his free time, he is a very busy, committed family man. David is a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather of six beautiful children. He enjoys his family time, cooking, and riding his Harley.
